OpenMarina collects the following information when you use our app:

Account Information: Name, email address, and profile photo provided through Apple or Google Sign-In.
Profile Data: Username, bio, boat information, and photos you choose to share.
Location Data: GPS coordinates when you enable live location sharing. This is optional and can be disabled at any time.
Usage Data: App interactions, marina ratings, posts, messages, and voyage data.
Device Information: Device type, operating system version, and push notification tokens.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the OpenMarina service
To display your profile and boat information to other users
To show your live location on the map (only when you opt-in)
To deliver push notifications about messages, follows, and voyage updates
To process premium subscriptions
To improve our service and user experience

3. Location Data

Live location sharing is entirely optional. When enabled, your position is visible to other users on the map. You can stop sharing at any time through the app. Location history is retained for up to 90 days and then automatically deleted.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your profile information, posts, and ratings are visible to other OpenMarina users as part of the community features. Private messages are only visible to the sender and recipient.

5. Data Storage

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Hetzner in the European Union. Media files are stored on Cloudflare's global network.

Apple Push Notification Service: For notifications
OpenStreetMap: For marina data
Cloudflare: For content delivery and media storage
OpenWeatherMap: For weather data (premium feature)

7. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, or delete your personal data. You can delete your account at any time through the app settings, which will permanently remove all your data from our servers.

8. Children's Privacy

OpenMarina is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
